Freelance Partnerships

Alexis had discovered a problem in her own life when she discovered that her German Shepard puppy was not receiving an adequate diet with dry store bought kibble. She tried other companies that distributed fresh dog food, but the shipping and purchase prices were not sustainable for her. She discovered she could solve the problem herself by making her own food recipes for her pup and others within the Phoenix.

At the time she asked for my help, she had already done a beta launch with product testing. She received some really great feedback, and needed a formalized way to launch a local dog food business without getting too overwhelmed since she also works full time as a teacher.

Alexis and I partnered on:

  • solidifying branding guidelines and logo

  • a full website buildout (hosted by Weebly)

  • a value proposition and product marketing coaching

  • a go to market campaign with guidance on generating sales and sustaining recurring revenue

  • a pricing strategy and profit guidelines in relation to her COGS

  • a plan to launch at local markets with tips on keeping expense records

  • guidance on securing her business as a LLC

Currently, we're working on consistent COGS tracking, as well as what product purchases are necessary to
complete a polished local company brand. Better product labels, additional product photography,
and social media content variety are further initiatives we are making progress on together.
